Drawing has been a lifelong passion of mine, ingrained in my creative journey from an early age. While I never received formal training until high school, my dedication and skill have shaped me into the artist I am today. I am drawn to realism and impressionism, finding fascination in the ability to capture intricate moments with both detail and personal expression. Throughout my artistic development, my technique has evolved while retaining the essence of my original style.
Over the past few years, I have delved into the world of pastels, quickly falling in love with the medium's versatility and vibrant qualities. The layering, blending, and immediacy of pastels allow me to create works that possess depth, focus, and a vividness that captivates the viewer. This medium also offers a swifter process, enabling me to dedicate more time to refining the intricate details that bring my artworks to life.
Aside from my career endeavors, there is much more about me. I tend to be on the shy side, but once you get to know me, I am a very fun, open person who
has many passions in life. Music is something that has always driven me as well. Whether it be through choir, dance, or just listening in general, I have always been obsessed with music. It gets me through the worst of days and makes the best of days even brighter. There isn’t a single day that goes by that I don’t listen to, and sing along with, music.
I also am a huge animal lover. I have many rescue pets - all are below. I hope to one day start a rescue of my own to help as many animals as possible find their forever homes. I am also a vegetarian and would even go out of my way to swerve for a frog in the road; luckily I still have a clean record of never hitting anything. Much like the Disney Princesses I have always admired, I seem to have a way with animals. I have had countless encounters with wild animals, such as chipmunks, squirrels, and deer to name a few, coming up to me to eat from my hands, pet them, and even let me pick them up. I’ve got the pictures to prove it!
Travel is another passion that invigorates my spirit. Exploring new places and immersing myself in different cultures provides a sense of renewal and growth. It is through these experiences that I find myself continually inspired and motivated as an artist. Lately, I have embarked on artistic expeditions, venturing to different destinations to personally capture the essence of nature through photography. These on-site encounters serve as the foundation for my portrait creations, allowing me to merge my two passions harmoniously. The ability to merge photography and art in this way brings me immense joy and fulfillment.
In my art, I aim to capture the beauty of nature, wildlife, and the human experience, evoking emotions and inviting viewers to see the world through my eyes. Through my drawings and pastel portraits, I hope to create a connection that transcends words and resonates deeply within each viewer. My journey as an artist is ongoing, and I look forward to continuing to explore, learn, and create with passion and dedication.
